'Highly probable' Omicron variant has reached Bolton, officials say - with residents urged to get vaccine

It is 'highly probable' Greater Manchester now has cases of the omicron Covid-19 variant, health chiefs have said. Two 'highly probable' cases of the B.1.1.529 variant have been identified in Bolton, which are awaiting laboratory confirmation.
